RCA Annual Reports:
The Radio Corporation of America, or RCA from 1968,
issued annual reports to its shareholders every year from 1920 through
1985. These provide prospective and current investors with legally
required financial data as well as information on the company's current
activities and future prospects. David Sarnoff wrote or revised much of
the material from the late 1920s through the 1940s. Over time one can
follow the evolution of RCA's principal businesses, depending on
internal interests and external factors. One can follow the company's
fortunes depending on the quality and graphics of the reports, and the
way corporation reflected the broader American culture, particularly in
the changing graphic designs of the 1960s. Original copies in near-mint
condition are available for all years but 1943 and 1976.
